If you&#8217;ve picked loads, take them home and put them in an apple crumble for a delicious autumn dessert. And if you have more than you know what to do with, then turn them into blackberry jam. It\u2019s almost time to welcome back your old friends boots and scarves too. Snuggle up and enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As well as reuniting with your sweater collection, now is also a great time of year to make your wardrobe work for you by packing away your summer clothes. I know it&#8217;s sad, but you won&#8217;t need that sundress in October. And if you\u2019ve got kids, get all their items from last year that are now too small and pass them on or donate to charity. It&#8217;s also a great way to spend a morning on an autumnal weekend, browsing the stalls with a hot drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Squashes, cabbages, courgettes, mushrooms, apples, nectarines and figs are just some of the foods in season in September. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">15.
